Fed up with reality TV? If so, you won’t be so pleased to hear the news that Lindsay Lohan will be getting her own reality show. But if you do like reality TV, then this might be interesting to hear…
Set in a luxury spa resort in Greece, the show will follow the actress and her many activities, including running a spa, restaurant and nightclub at Lohan Beach House in Mykonos.
Lindsay Lohan announced the new show on a short video, saying to fans: “Pack your bags MTV, we’re going to Mykonos. I’ve joined the MTV family, and I’m Lindsay Lohan. Get ready.”
As well as obviously being the main star of the show, she will also executive produce the show in partnership with MTV and Bunim/Murray Productions. Revealing more details of the show, titled “Lohan Beach Club”, MTV says that the actress will lead a team of “handpicked brand ambassadors” as they try to rise above the temptations of Mykonos.
“Lindsay Lohan’s team must prove their expertise, ambition and charm while helping bring Lindsay Lohan’s vision to life,” A press release from the network stated. “The stakes are high as the team establishes new friendships and alliances while striving to rise above the temptations the Mykonos nightlife scene has to offer.”
The 32-year-old has certainly made her mark in the Greek islands, as this show will be her third business venture out there, having previously launched Lohan Nightclub in Athens and Lohan Beach House in Rhodes.
However, it’s not all sunshine and beach parties out there, and Lindsay Lohan has proved she takes her businesses very seriously, sometimes not to a nice level. Earlier this month, she threatened to fire two of her staff members at her Lohan Beach House for not wearing matching shoes.
A photo was uploaded of the two un-named waitress on the business’ Instagram, with the pair wearing matching white robes but different coloured shoes. Spotting this, Lindsay Lohan commented “Wear the same shoes… Or you’re fired”. Let’s hope she doesn’t always treat her staff like that, but it would make for great entertainment.
This isn’t the first time the star has been the centre of a reality show. Back in 2014, a reality show titled “Lindsay” aired for eight episodes on the Oprah Winfrey Network, documenting her personal struggles, like a lot of child stars, she fell into a number of legal troubles, most of which include alcohol and drugs. However, there haven’t been any reports of any arrests since 2012.
Lohan Beach Club is currently being filmed, and will premiere on MTV next year, although an exact date hasn’t been announced just yet…
And, much like marmite, reality TV shows tend to be either loved or hated, so which side are you on? Will you even let it be on in the background when you’re snoozing, or will you actually even watch it?
