Manchester United Interested in Vardy, Hernandez & Sanchez

It’s been a while since we covered any sport, and with the exciting January Transfer window still in play, we revert to something that’s still pretty much wholesome, which is football (soccer), that is until FIFA tries to roll out a socialist World Cup with 48 nations in 2026, just for the purposes of further corruption, it seems.

Anyway, Arsenal have all but been resigned to losing their star player Alexis Sanchez for a long time now, or let him leave for free in the summer transfer window, when the Chilean star’s contract runs out. Front runners to land Sanchez have been Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side, especially after a serious injury to Gabriel Jesus. The Citizens are willing to spend £25 million to take him away from the Emirates in this transfer window.

However, a couple of days ago, Jose Mourinho stepped in and is willing to offer Arsenal more than £25 million, plus the services of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and more money per week for the services of Alexis Sanchez. This should come as a no brainer to Alexis Sanchez, 29, and to Arsene Wenger as well, who has responded by saying that he will not sell Sanchez unless a replacement is found beforehand… Typical Arsene Wenger, doesn’t know a good deal when he sees one. Manchester United have already offered something closer to Arsenal’s £35 million January evaluation value of Sanchez.

Pep Guardiola still has the services of Sergio Aguero in attack, and Manchester City are fifteen points clear at the top of the English Premier League, so it doesn’t seem necessary to waste money on Alexis Sanchez when they can get him for free in the next summer transfer window.

So, can Manchester United secure a swoop and steal of Alexis Sanchez if Arsene Wenger comes to his senses some day soon? Only time will tell, but Arsene Wenger would be stupid to sell Sanchez to Manchester City instead of Manchester United, especially if he receives Henrikh Mkhitaryan for free in this window. However, Arsene is seemingly getting more and more senile by the day, so this all remains to be seen.

Jose Mourinho desperately needs to secure another striker after Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had a reoccurring problem with that knee, which will keep him out for an estimated additional three weeks, plus Romelu Lukaku is overused and tired, and cannot accomplish it all on his own.

Jose Mourinho is considering other options, with Jamie Vardy reportedly on his wish list, but that deal is unlikely to take place as it wouldn’t represent value for money in the over inflated transfer market to try to prise Leicester City’s star player away from the King Power Stadium. It would be expensive, and with Vardy already being 31-years of age, it doesn’t make financial sense.

Another option for Jose Mourinho would be to bring back Mexican international striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez to Old Trafford, after he was sold by Luis Van Gaal to Bayer Leverkusen, until later he was snapped up by Slaven Bilic at West Ham to send him back to the Premier League last summer, until he was sacked by the Hammers who replaced him with David “Meh” Moyes, who never gave Hernandez a chance at Manchester United after Alex Ferguson had often praised the speedy Mexican star as a brilliant player.

Since David Moyes has now taken over at West Ham, he hasn’t given Hernandez a chance either, and it’s clear that Hernandez isn’t in Moyes’ plans once again, so he’s now willing to sell Javier Hernandez in this transfer window. The price is yet not confirmed. Hernandez would be happy to rejoin Manchester United, and Jose Mourinho could be able to snap him up for £16 million or less, so that represents good value for money and would provide a speedy alternative in attack to Lukaku and Ibrahimovic.

Jose Mourinho has also been looking at the £50 million rated Right Midfielder Malcom from Bordeaux, which might be one for the future, after Manchester have lost out on young star players lately and more so in recent years.

However, David Moyes would like to snap up Daniel Sturridge from Liverpool, but Sturridge himself is adamant that he wants a season long loan move to Inter Milan instead.

Meanwhile, Manchester United fans are also now calling for Mourinho to snap up Hernandez on the cheap in this January transfer window. It does look unlikely that Arsenal will swoop for a replacement of Sanchez in time, with Thomas Lemar of AS Monaco seemingly not wanting to join the Gunners if the recent inactivity regarding Lemar’s rumoured move to Arsenal is anything to go by. Arsene Wenger has also been linked with Riyadh Mahrez, but Arsenal seem unwilling to match the £50 million evaluation by Leicester City.

PSG’s winger and quasi-striker Lucas Moura has suggested he needs more playing time, and wants to join Manchester United for only £25 million, but Jose Mourinho hasn’t acted on this interest as yet.

Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool is also keen on Thomas Lemar, and is actively looking for a replacement after Philipe Coutinho joined FC Barcelona for £142 million. Klopp has also eyed up Riyadh Mahrez and AC Milan’s Suso as capable replacements.

So, what will happen? Will Arsene Wenger see sense and sell Sanchez to Manchester United, or will he lose him for nothing come the summer transfer window? Will Mourinho settle for a cut price Javier Hernandez to bolster his attacking options? Will Jurgen Klopp sign another winger? Will Pep Guardiola splash that Qatari cash once again and bring in somebody totally unnecessary?

We will keep you posted as the January transfer window as it heats up and begins to take shape, usually by the end of the month.
